VA Loans

November 07, 2016

VA loans are available for active duty service members and for veterans. The VA Loan is designed to offer affordable financing to our American veterans and some surviving spouses (provided they have not remarried).* These home loans are guaranteed by the VA, and can often be done without any down payment.

The other great benefit to a VA loan is that they do not require mortgage insurance. This means that, while other loans require mortgage insurance when lending above 80% of the homes value, the VA loan does not.

Refinancing with a VA Loan can be used to accomplish some financial goals also. With cash out refi's allowed and up to 100% of the home value, these goals can easily be accomplished. the cash out can be used to paying off debt, home improvements, vacations, investments, and more!

Available to millions of veterans and active military members, VA loans are somewhat easier to qualify for than today's conventional mortgages. They offer more flexibility with credit scores. The VA loan is not only great for purchasing a home for our service members, but also offers refinancing options for qualified home owners.

Here at GSF Mortgage, we specialize in assisting our country's veterans and military personnel on the VA loan programs available today. Please contact us to discuss your financing options! We would like to thank all the veterans and men and women serving our country!

*Please contact us to discuss the qualifying factors for surviving spouses.
